Ron P Ferrara

Ronald Peter Ferrara of Citrus Springs, FL passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family on February 3, 2021 at the age of 77. Ronald was born to the late John and Catherine (LaPadula) Ferrara on July 28, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Ronald went on to become a Machinist and Engineer, designing and producing many products throughout his career. In 1969, Ron married his wife Jacqueline with whom he shared 52 years of loving marriage. He and Jacqueline made Citrus County their home in 1989 after relocating from Liberty, NY. Ron was a Catholic by faith and a Parishioner of St. Peters Catholic Church in Liberty.
Ron thoroughly enjoyed designing and building things from start to finish; he was a true engineer at heart. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Ron also loved to race cars and motorcycles with his brother when they were younger. They traveled together and raced all over the state of Florida. He would do the repair work and his brother would race.
Ron was a kind man with a big heart and absolutely loved all animals. He would always stop to assist a turtle crossing the road or help any animal in need. He enjoyed spending time with the horses, pigs and especially goats at his sons house and cared for their wellbeing.
In addition to his wife Jacqueline, those left to mourn Ron’s passing include his son, Ronald Ferrara, Jr. and his wife Susan of Williston, FL; daughter, Jacqueline Van Natter and her husband Jeffery of Spring Hills, FL; brother, Robert Ferrara; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Incremona, Jeffery Van Netter II, Cody Van Netter, Hunter Ferrara, Jessica Ferrara; and great grandchildren: Killian Incremona and Carson Van Natter. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis and Leonard Ferrara.
