Ramona Cordova-Vazquez, 86 of Apollo Beach, FL, passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, on February 3, 2021. Ramona was born on August 9, 1934 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, to the late Marcelo Cordova-Rivera and Berhida Vazquez. She came to Citrus County a year and a half ago from Puerto Rico. She was of the Catholic faith. Ramona loved her grand-babies! She enjoyed cooking, socializing and just entertaining friends and family. She also loved to travel.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: George Vazquez and wife, Iris, of Orlando, FL, Iris Elliott and husband Kevin, of Apollo Beach, FL, Wanda Vazquez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Aileen Vazquez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her brother, Cloti Cordova of Humacoa, PR, her sisters: Mina Cordova, of Humacoa, PR, Julia Ortero, husband Antonio, of New York, Juanita Martinez, San Juan, PR; her 4 grand-babies,11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be conducted on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, in Inverness, with Fr. Tim Cummings, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Inverness. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness.
