Georgiana H. Baum, age 91 of Inverness, Fl passed away January 29, 2021 in the Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. Georgiana was born in Valley Stream, NY on September 4, 1929 to the late Frederich and Gladys (Hyer) Beck and moved to this area in 1978 from Massapequa, NY. She was an Administrative Clerk for Grumman Aerospace on Long Island, N.Y. before moving to Inverness where she was a restaurant hostess and waitress. She was a proud, long standing member of the Inverness Woman’s Club. She loved Christmas. Every Christmas Eve she would have everyone she knew over, family, friends & neighbors. She never missed a birthday, she loved to send cards. She had a big heart. She will be missed.
Left to cherish her memory are 4 sons: John J. Baum, Jr., Cochecton, NY; Robert (Deborah) Baum, Scott Baum, and Stephen Baum, all of Inverness; daughter, Nancy (Carmine) Urgola, Inverness; brother, George Beck, Belleview, Fl; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Baum Sr. on Feb 25, 2003; step-dad, Carl J. Beck, step brother, Carl Beck; and step sister, Joan Beck.
There is a Celebration of Life Scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery next to her late husband at a later date. Following services, friends are invited to the Inverness Woman’s Club for food and refreshments In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Inverness Woman’s Club.
