Walter Norman Bradway, 78, of Inverness, FL passed away on January 16, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. He was born to the late Ralph Norman and Virginia (Chapman) Bradway on November 22, 1942 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He bravely served our country as a member of the United States Air Force for 30 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He later worked for the United States Post Office for 15 years. He married his beloved wife, Barbara, in 1965 and together, they made Citrus County their home in 1990 after moving from Pouquoson, Virginia. Walter enjoyed stock car racing and watching and attending NASCAR races, including the Daytona 500. He loved camping with his family and volunteering at the “Rails to Trails” Park, now known as the Withlacoochie Trail, with the Sheriff’s Department and enjoyed his days outdoors.
Walter is preceded in death by his son, Gregg Alan Bradway. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara; his two sons, Gary Brian Bradway (Kimberly Moore) of Inverness, FL and Eric Walter Bradway Wolf (Asha Wolf) of Longmont, Colorado; his three brothers, Bruce, Brian, and George Bradway; his two sisters, Pauline and Virginia Lee; his many nieces and nephews; and his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Penny Horner of Inverness, FL.
Walter will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
