James Huston Graham, 88, of Floral City, FL passed away January 6, 2021 at HPH Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Cochran, GA on December 3, 1932 to the late Sam and Maroy (Fowler) Graham. James was employed by and retired from the Department of Defense where he worked as a contract inspector, which included working on the space shuttle guidance systems. He arrived in this area in the late 1970’s coming from Clearwater, FL. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. James was a devout Christian and attended the Inverness Church of God for over 40 years, serving many years as a Church Elder. James enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping, but most of all being with his family. He was preceded in death by one son, Del Huston Graham; 2 brothers, John and William Graham; and 2 sisters, Lucille Owens and Rosa Robinson. James is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Johnnie Gay Graham; son James Darvin Graham and his wife Delene of Inverness, FL, daughter Virginia Denise Slusser and her husband Butch of Inverness, sister Shirley Shelton of Hawkinsville, GA; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Inverness Church of God on Saturday, January 30, 11:00 A.M. with Pastors David Lucas, Harvey Dunn and Larry Powers officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church’s facebook page. James’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Chas. E.
