Loretta J Fisher

Loretta J. Fisher, 84, of Hernando, FL passed away on October 24, 2020 in Inverness, FL. She was born to the late George W. and Mildred Vivian (Collins) Douglas on November 16, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked in an after-school daycare for the local school district for many years. She married Harold Eugene Fisher in 1955 and enjoyed many beautiful years of marriage before his passing in 2010. Loretta moved to Citrus County in 2017 from her hometown of Des Moines, and made it her forever home. She enjoyed attending First Christian Church of Inverness. Loretta will be remembered for her ceramics artwork, her love of arts and crafts with her daycare kids, doing crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. Along with her parents and her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michelle Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Gary) Jeffries of Hernando, FL; five cherished grandchildren; 14 adored great-grandchildren; and 10 loved great-great-grandchildren. Loretta was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Arrangements for Loretta are private. Loretta will be laid to rest in Iowa alongside her husband, Harold.
