Harvey Lee Bailey of Inverness, FL passed away at his home on September 13, 2020 at the age of 81. Harvey was born in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Harvey Allen and Helen Lou (McIntire) Bailey on June 9, 1939. He shared 56 years of loving marriage with his wife Judith (Smeed) Bailey. Harvey and Judith made Citrus County their home 50 years ago after relocating from St. Petersburg. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and boating. Harvey also enjoyed bow hunting for a few years. He liked going out to dinner with his wife but was also a great cook that enjoyed cooking for his family.
In addition to his loving wife Judith, those left to mourn Harvey’s passing include his son, Warren Lee Bailey of Inverness, FL; daughters: Rebecca Cyrus of Hernando, FL, Beth Bailey and her husband Steven Ebbert of Inverness, FL; sister, Audrey Suber and her husband Charles of St. Petersburg, FL; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Allen Bailey and sister, Mary Jean Roberts.
Harvey’s family is planning to hold a memorial service for him at a later date. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
