Martha F. Gamache

On this day, Wednesday, September 9, 2020, Martha F. Gamache passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Martha was born on March 26, 1945 to the late Woodrow Albert and Vera E. Urbano.

Martha had several jobs during her life, the most notable being several years working at Freddie’s Tavern (owned by her stepfather) as office worker and hostess. The job she enjoyed the most was working at NJDOT as an administrative assistant until her husband was relocated to Anderson, Indiana due to his job in 1995. From there, they moved to Citrus Springs, FL in 2000 when she retired. Later, she worked in the church office for about a year, at the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, FL where she became a member in 2004. She also volunteered at the Citrus Springs Library for several years. She volunteered as a poll worker for Citrus County from 2004 until present.

She is survived by her husband, Donald N. Gamache, Sr. who she married on January 8, 1966. She is also survived by a son, Donald N. Gamache, Jr. “Neil” and his wife, Susie and a daughter, Donna Lynn Gamache and her wife, Noreen Wisniowski; seven grandchildren, Cody Gamache, Annemarie Dotson, Ashley and Lori Barr, and Rob, Becky, and Kate Thielemann; and nine great-grandchildren, Ryan, McKenna, Savannah, and Alexander Dotson; Robbie and Mason Thielemann; and Annabelle, Hadley and the soon-to-be Maia Gamache,; her sister, Terri Nelson and her husband, Tom; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Skip and Phyllis Gamache; a loving aunt, Helen Nichols; and nieces, nephews, and many cherished cousins—the one most special to her, Steven J. Rosso.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. Friends and family are welcome to call beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Eddie Fulford of First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, FL will be officiating the services.

Martha’s urn will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, FL. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
