Dorothy B Overgard

Dorothy B.Overgard, 87, of Hernando, FL passed away on September 5th, 2020 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. Dorothy was born to the late Cosimo and Frances (Bodenschatz) Baldosoro on May 30, 1933 in Staten Island, NY. Dorothy worked for New York City Telephone for 10 years, then as a Secretary in the New Jersey school system before moving to Florida. She made Citrus County her home in 1991 after moving from Flemington, NJ. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, and all types of hospitality. She loved having company over to host and especially treasured spending time with her family. Dorothy was also a gardener and a painter who enjoyed spending some of her free time going to yard sales.
Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 67 loving years, Herbert Overgard, who passed away in February of this year; her son, Drew Overgard, who also passed away in February of this year; and her grandchild, Brian Overgard. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Darlyn Sesock (Paul) of Paducah, Kentucky and Wendy Staub (John) of North Port, FL; her daughter-in-law, Rhoda Overgard of Tuckerton, NJ, her sister, Gloria Keshecki of North Port, FL; and her 10 grandchildren, Mick Overgard (Megan), Melanie Sliker (Skip),Jason Sesock, Christopher Sesock, Kimberly Sesock, Brittany Staub, Jennifer Staub, Erica Staub, Steven Staub, and Kylie Staub, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of meeting her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 16th. 2020 at 11:30 AM at Calvary Church, located at 2728 Harley St. in Inverness, FL with Pastor Ottis Barnett officiating the service. A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM until the hour of service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL
