Sheila R Getzoff

Sheila R. Getzoff, age 71, of Floral City, FL passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 3rd, 2020. She was born to the late Henry W. and Mary (Lennon) Ronayne on August 18th, 1948 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Sheila graduated from the Robert Morris University of Pittsburgh, PA and worked as a Pharmacy Technician for many years. She married her beloved husband, David, on June 30th, 1970 and together, they made Citrus County their home in 2012 when they relocated from Boyertown, PA. She enjoyed attending First Lutheran Church of Inverness, FL where she had many dear friends.
Sheila will be remembered for her zest for life—she was always smiling and cheerful, and spreading joy to others around her. She is described as a loving mother who was very devoted to caring for and loving her family. She was a member of the local knitting club, called the “Hookers” where she donated her time, efforts, and knitting talents, to knit sweaters for more unfortunate children. She also loved reading novels, particularly Danielle Steel and other romance novels. Sheila was a very kind hearted woman who will be missed dearly.
Those left to cherish Sheila’s memory are her husband, David; her three children, Randal J. (Alicia) Getzoff of Boyertown, PA, David H. (Melissa) Getzoff of Allentown, PA, and Cheryl (Tim) Reynolds of Dubuque, Iowa; one grandchild, Charles T. Getzoff. Sheila also loved and cherished all her families pets; Grand Dogs Marley and Linda Lou, cats Zoey and Cleany and Grand Ferret Watson.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sheila that will be held on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020 at 11 am at the First Lutheran Church of Inverness, FL with Pastor Beaverson officiating the services. Calling hours will be from 10 am until the hour of service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
