Bette L. Iley of Inverness, FL passed away at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing Facility on July 30, 2020 at the age of 91. Bette was born in Lawrence Township, PA to the late Sarah (Lawhead) and Lloyd Morris, SR on September 23, 1928. In 1949 she enlisted in the United States Army and was an Army Nurse in Washington, DC at Walter Reed Hospital. Bette married Reno Iley in 1950 and left Washington DC to move to Florida to raise her growing family. After her children were grown and started their own lives, she moved back to DuBois, PA and became the Director of Nursing for DuBois Nursing Home. Following her retirement in 1998, she returned to Florida. She enjoyed going to the beach and reading. Bette also loved spending time with her family.
Those left to mourn Bette’s passing include her daughters: Billie Dall and her husband Kevin of Ormond Beach, FL, Rena’ Wood and her husband Joe of Inverness, FL; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bette was preceded in death by 1 daughter, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Cremation care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
