Gerald C. Stires, age 87, resident of Inverness, FL unexpectedly passed away on June 30th, 2020 under the care of Legacy House Hospice in Ocala, FL. He was born to the late Harvey and Eva Grace (Cole) Stires on September 30th, 1932 in Phillipsburg, NJ. Gerald bravely served our country as a member of the United States Coast Guard.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marleen; his son, Terry Stires of Inverness, FL; his daughter, Cynthia Stires of Jacksonville, FL; and his two grandchildren, Lexie and Janelle Stires.
Gerald’s urn will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL. Cremation with Care. Chas. E. Davis.
