Lester E Coley

Lester Eugene Coley of Hernando, FL passed away at his home on June 17, 2020 at the age of 75. Lester was born to the late Rubert Eugene and Marilyn Pauline (Johnson) Coley on February 12, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was Catholic by faith. Prior to retirement, Lester was employed as a Line Supervisor for the Coca Cola Corporation. On August 27, 2001, he married his wife Mary with whom he shared 18 years of loving marriage. Lester and Mary made Citrus County their home in 2006 after relocating from Indianapolis, IN. Lester had been a coach for Catholic girls intramural basketball for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching any kind of sports but was especially a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and college basketball. Lester enjoyed playing fantasy football and fantasy baseball. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the beach.

In addition to his wife Mary, those left to mourn Lester’s passing include his son, Kevin Coley and his wife Tracy of Indianapolis, IN; daughters: Kimberly Coley of Beverly Hills, FL, Keri Hutson and her husband Tim of Indianapolis, IN; stepdaughter, Anne Gruis of Inverness, FL; sister, Linda Bowman of Hernando, FL; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Lester was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Kyrstin Alger; his brother, Thomas Coley; and sister, Sharon Hinsley. Cremation with care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
