Viola G Iocca

Viola G. Iocca, age 88, resident of Floral City, FL passed away on June 10th, 2020 at Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness, FL. She was born in New York City, NY on July 10th, 1931. She married her beloved husband, Edward, on September 16th, 1951 and worked as a secretary for a lawyer’s office for many years before finally enjoying her retirement. She has made Citrus County her home for the past 38 years, after moving form Middle Village, NY.
Viola will be remembered for being a very strong, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. While Viola enjoyed many hobbies, her favorite past times were playing Bingo, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, and making delicious cookies. Viola was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
Along with her father, Phillip Exle, her mother, and her siblings, Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, who passed away on December 29th, 1993. Those left to cherish Viola’s memory are her children, Joseph Iocca (Claire) of East Northport, NY and Debra Iocca of East Jewett, NY and her granddaughter, Danielle Iocca (Shane).
Cremation with Care is scheduled for Viola under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. There will be a Celebration of Life held by Viola’s family at a later date in New York, where Viola will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edward.
