Ronald John Ballog of Lecanto, FL passed away while under the loving care of his sister and HPH Hospice in Lecanto, FL on April 1, 2020 at the age of 73. Ronald was born in Wheeling, WV to the late George and Helen (Marcus) Ballog on January 25, 1947. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Apollo Transportation in Tempe, AZ as a Transportation Supervisor. Ronald left Arizona in 2011 to make Citrus County, FL his permanent home. He was a Catholic by faith and enjoyed attending the weekly Mass Service offered at his assisted living facility. Ronald was a huge fan of Ohio State Football and also enjoyed watching movies at home. He liked going fishing and working on puzzles. But, his favorite past times were four wheeling with his daughters in Arizona, and spending time with his family.
Those left to mourn Ronald’s passing include his daughters: Ami Potts and her husband Craig of Gilbert, AZ, Patricia Day also of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Lois Sykes and her husband Bill of Inverness, FL; grandchildren: Hayden Day and Keegan Potts of Gilbert, AZ; nephew, Bryan Sykes and his wife Nancy of Lutz, FL; and great nieces: Haley and Morgan Sykes of Lutz, FL.
Ronald will be laid to rest with his mother and father at St. Clairsville Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, OH at a later date. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
