Christopher M. Spivey, I

Christopher M. Spivey, I, of Inverness, FL passed away at his home on February 17th, 2020 at the age of 52. He was born to (late) James C. Spivey and Cynthia (Howell) DellaValle on November 25th, 1967 in Tampa, FL.

Christopher worked as a Union Journeyman Wireman for the Miller Electric Company for many years and was very proud of his career and accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, James, and is survived by his mother, Cyndee DellaValle and his step-father, Joe DellaValle; his children, Christopher M. Spivey II (Tabitha) of Hernando, FL, William Spivey of Inverness, FL, and Zachary Spivey of Inverness, FL; his brothers, James and Mark; his sister, Amy Spivey; his step-sister, Heather DellaValle; his good friend, Christy Spivey; his grandchild, Garrett M. Hall and as he was excitedly awaiting, his soon-to-be grandchild, Christian W. Spivey. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Christopher will be remembered fondly for being “the best kind of stubborn” which never ceased, especially during his bout with cancer which earned him the name Superman after officially beating his first round. He was a very loving father and cared deeply for his children. He loved to hover-board, especially with his children, and hover-boarding will always be a cherished memory that his children have of him. He is described as being “a little” loud at times, which is evident in the loud love that his family continues to carry with them in memory of such a cherished father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend.

A Celebration of Life for Christopher will be arranged by the family on March 7th at 1 pm, hosted at The Cove Pub and Grub, where his many friends and family are all welcome to attend to honor his memory. Family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated and can be sent to the American Cancer Society at https://donate3.cancer.org.
