Paul A. “Jimmy” Horch

Paul “Jimmy” A. Horch, 88, of Floral City, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at his residence in Floral City. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY on December 9, 1931 to the late Paul A. and Violet (Favre) Horch. Paul served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanic and a Catholic by faith. Paul, known by all as Jimmy, retired from the Town of Greenwich in 1992 and retired full time to Floral City with his wife, Edie in 1999 coming from Greenwich, Ct.

He was a member of the Coast Guard both in CT and FL. He loved his family, boats, and tinkering with anything mechanical. He also loved camping with his wife, family, and friends.

He is survived by his children, Christian Horch and his wife Lisa of Stratford, CT, Tiffany Chila and her husband Steven, Heather Chila and her husband Patrick, all of Weston, CT, and Hillary Clifford and her husband Steven of Greenwich, CT, his sister in law Pamala Merrit and her husband Robert; and 8 grandchildren any many nieces and nephews.

Paul is predeceased by his wife Edith in 2017, and his first born son Christopher in 1959. He also leaves behind his long time companion Sarah “Sally” Faso.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Friday, January 24, 3:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home at 2pm, one hour prior to the service.
