Dolores Ellen Long of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on January 8, 2020 at the age of 86. Dolores was born to the late John and Ellen (Ryan) Long in Bronx, NY on December 10, 1933. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Jacobi Hospital in Bronx, NY as a secretary. Dolores made Citrus County her home in 1991. In her spare time she enjoyed watching old movies and listening to music. She especially enjoyed listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Perry Como.
Those left to mourn Dolores’ passing include her sister, Veronica Barker and her husband Robert; brothers: Eugene Long, Walter Long and his wife Carol; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard and John Long; and sisters: Geraldine Lennon and Jacqueline Reilly.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 12:30 PM with Father Claudius Mganga, Celebrant. Arrangements are under the care of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
