Matthew Joseph Yuhas of Lecanto, FL passed away at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL on January 6, 2020 at the age of 43. Matt was born on September 5, 1976 in Scranton, PA to Jo Ann Tinklepaugh and the late Joseph John Yuhas. He made Citrus County, FL his home in 2001 after relocating from Pennsylvania and worked as a Lineman for Davey Tree Service. Matt liked horses and had owned a few in the past. In his spare time he enjoyed video games and also playing “store”, “kitchen” and having tea parties with his stepdaughter. Matt’s favorite activity was spending time with his family.
Those left to mourn Matt’s passing include his son, Joshua Yuhas; his loving fiancee, Cindy McMurry; his mother, Joann Yuhas and her husband, Frank Oliva; grandchildren: Isabella and Micah; stepdaughters: Tiffany Fernandez, Christina Walko; grandmother, Toni Tinklepaugh; his uncle, Marc Tinklepaugh; his aunt, Jane Matthews; his uncle, John Kofel; his dear friend, Josh “Red” Taylor; and many cousins.
A Celebration of Matthew’s life is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Springs Presbyterian Church of Dunnellon, FL and will be officiated by Pastor Keeth Statton. Cremation care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
