Robert (Bob) J Close Jr

Robert (Bob) J Close Jr., also known as “Digger”, of Lake Panasoffkee, passed away on December 1, 2019, with his family by his side. He was born to the late Florence and Robert Close Sr. on May 30, 1937, in Millersburg, Ohio. He is survived by his three children: Connie (Jerry) Hays of Lake Panasoffkee, Randy (Meresa) Boutwell of Ocala, and Robert “Bumper” (Jamie) Close of Inverness. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of loved ones. Robert is predeceased by his wife, Peggy Joyce Close, along with his son, Russell “Skeeter” Close, his granddaughter, Shyanne Close, and his grandson, Jordan Hays. Robert loved his family and leaves behind joyful memories. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Pa. He had a love for construction and fishing, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services for Robert will be held on Monday, December 9th, 2019 at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness. The service times are as follows: Family at 9:00 a.m., Visitation at 10:00 a.m., and a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 12:30 p.m. Flowers may be sent to 3075 S.
