Viola Nickerson

Viola Nickerson, 93, of Inverness, FL passed away October 6, 2019 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. She was born in Woodstown, NJ on December 12, 1925 to the late William and Linda Mae (Goforth) Holmes. Viola was a dedicated homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1981, coming from Carney’s Point, NJ. She was a Christian by faith, and enjoyed playing cards, baking, telling stories, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Nickerson in 1998, and two sisters, Anna Mae Roone and Mary Ellen Magargal. Viola is survived by her children James H. Nickerson, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Timothy Nickerson and his wife Deana of Summerfield, FL, and Beth Cantin of Tampa, FL; sisters Marian Bacon and Joan Sharp; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
