Ronald M. Rome, 82, of Citrus Springs, FL passed away September 8, 2019 at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Sussex, NJ on February 1, 1937 to the late Henry and Serena (Post) Rome. Ronald was an owner/operator of Rome’s High Point Exxon in Sussex. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, and was Presbyterian by faith. Ronald arrived in this area in 2004, coming from Sussex, and enjoyed going to the casino, golfing, and watching the Tampa Bay Rays baseball. He loved adult coloring books and puzzles. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marie in 2018. He is survived by his children David Paulussen of Long Valley, NJ, Rhonda Rome of Citrus Springs, Robyn Sparta and her husband Brad of Sussex, and Renee Westerkamp of Sussex; brothers Virgil Rome of Newton, NJ, Roy Rome of Sussex, and Calvin Card of Bradenton, FL; and 4 grandchildren, Kelsey, Colin, Haley, and Sidney.
