David L. Short, 73, of Floral City, FL passed away September 5, 2019 at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born August 4, 1946 in Kawkawlin, MI to the late Paul and Helen (Bridge) Short.
David was a Superintendent in the construction industry, and arrived in this area in 1991, coming from Bradenton, FL. He enjoyed showing horses and loved his horse “Wilt”. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and shooting pool.
David is survived by his loving partner Susan Shaw and her daughter Heather Shaw. Other survivors include his daughters Annette Short and Bridgette Rider, both of Inverness, and Collette Short of Tampa, FL; brother Lee Short of Floral City; sisters Beverly Stockton and Marion Goulet of MI; and 5 grandchildren, Aubree, Makayla, Gavin, Michael, and Nathan.
