Louis “Corky” Iturbide

Louis E. “Corky” Iturbide, of Floral City, FL passed away at his home on August 31, 2019 at the age of 73. Corky was born to the late Phillip and Leonor (Narveaz) Iturbide in Mexico City, Mexico on June 18, 1946.

He proudly served in the United States Army. After his military service Corky had several different occupations but, eventually became a truck driver for Chicago, IL Local Union #705.

He became a Florida “Snowbird” in 2000 and made Florida his permanent home in 2008 after his retirement. Corky absolutely loved music and enjoyed going to music festivals as often as he could. He also enjoyed the beach, one of the reasons he made Florida his permanent home. Corky also enjoyed traveling and had traveled throughout the United States and Mexico extensively. He was an extremely kind, hard working, generous man who loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to mourn Corky’s passing include his brother, Joe Iturbide and his wife Karen of Glendale Heights, IL; four nephews and two nieces. In addition to his parents, Corky was preceded in death by his brothers: Phillip and John Iturbide; and niece, Phyllis.

Cremation care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
