George Henry Perkins, Jr., 79, of Floral City, FL passed away August 31, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital – The Villages. He was born in Baltimore, MD on February 12, 1940 to the late George H. and Mary E. (Dignan) Perkins, Sr. George was a Regional Sales Manager in the auto parts industry, and served our country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp. He arrived in this area in 2006, coming from Long Neck, DE. George was a Catholic by faith, and was a member of the Marine Corp League. He enjoyed swimming and travel. George was a good man, whose favorite saying was, “Once a Marine, always a Marine”. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Genevieve Perkins. Other survivors include his children Ronald Perkins and his wife Kim of Duluth, GA, Craig Perkins and his wife Nancy and Rex Perkins, all of Baltimore, MD, and Deanna Jones and her husband Bill of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters Rita Hundley of Towson, MD and Jane Kolb of Indiana, PA; and 6 grandchildren.
