Gary Dean Swing, Sr., age 59, of Floral City, FL passed away at his home on May 30, 2019. Gary was born to the late Theodore and Lois (Curry) Swing on November 5, 1959 in Fort Myers, FL. He was a lifelong Floridian.
Gary was a heavy equipment mechanic by trade and could repair just about anything. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Floral City VFW #7122. He spent a great deal of time collecting for Veteran’s Charities. Gary loved racing, especially figure 8 racing, figure 8 school bus racing and street stock racing. He enjoyed fishing and was a great cook that liked fixing barbeque while spending time with his family and friends. He especially treasured the time he spent with his daughter Casey. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to mourn Gary’s passing include his daughters: Casey Swing, Lisa Ann (Bill) Barter, Logan Santmyer; sons: Gary Swing JR, Ricky Mitchell; brothers, Theodore Swing, Jr., Darryl (Jean) Eldon; sisters: Juanita Swing, Joy (Larry) Everett, Lisa (Laurie Frutchey) Swing; sister in law, Iva Lou Eldon; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his loving girlfriend, Janet Noble. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Eldon.
Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate and welcome donations to help offset the cost of Gary’s final expenses.
