Lamar Eugene McDonald, age 61, of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2019. Lamar was born to the late Jackie Lamar Hill and Sonia Lee Teller on September 27, 1957 in Corona, CA. He was a carpenter by trade and made Florida his home over 40 years ago after relocating from Biloxi, MS. In his spare time, Lamar enjoyed building things and “tinkering”. He also enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden. Lamar was a friendly and outgoing man that loved hanging out in his backyard around his fire pit, drinking beer with his friends and swapping stories.
Those left to mourn Lamar’s passing include his daughter, Jennifer Herrick and her husband Dave of Lakeland, FL; son, Jason Michael McDonald of Crystal River, FL; and grandchildren: Chapin, Kolbie, Keilah, Chase, Bailey and Shelby. Lamar was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lee McDonald. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
