Judith T Becker

Judith T. Becker, who is affectionately called Judy/Mom/Nanny, passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL, at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
Judy was born to the late Gilbert C. and Anne (Coyle) Johnson on December 21, 1946 in New Haven, CT. She moved to FL in 1969, and called it home ever since. Judy made Citrus County, FL her home over 20 years ago, after relocating from Miami. The majority of her career was spent as a Surgical Technologist. Judy was an avid animal lover and immensely enjoyed being at the ocean or out in nature. To say she was the world’s biggest Elvis Presley fan is a huge understatement. Judy was a beautiful soul inside and out, and a pure joy to spend time with. To know her was to love her.
Judy lived every moment of her 72 years of life in a vibrant and fiercely loving manner. Her exceptional strength, fortitude and resilience, paired with her incredibly nurturing nature deeply connected her heart to so many. Judy will be greatly missed in her role as the caring matriarch of her large and close-knit family. She will be fondly remembered as someone that truly loved unconditionally and with all of her heart.
Those left to honor her legacy and celebrate Judy’s life include her beloved husband of 25 years, Ronald A. Becker; sons: Byron C. Carhart, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Robert E. Carhart of Coral Springs, FL, and Ty G. Carhart of Destin, FL; daughters: Sondra L. King of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Lisa Leahy of Meriden, CT; sisters: Jacquelyn M. Johnson of Chico, CA, Jo A. Johnson of Bridgeport, CT, (and Judy was preceded in death by her sister Adrienne K. Rizzo). Judy is dearly loved by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as many others.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in the vibrance of Fall, at Bradley Point in West Haven, CT, to honor her wishes.
