Carmen I Perez

Carmen Iris Perez, 69, Lecanto, FL, formerly of Inverness, passed away April 22, 2019 in Bayfront Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River. Carmen was born in Puerto Rico on June 15, 1949 to the late Juan and Cecelia Del Valle and moved to Florida in 2006 from Bayshore, NY. She was a retired Therapist for Sagamore Children’s Hospital on Long Island as well as other state facilities. She was a member of the Hernando United Methodist Church where she was very active in all of their activities. She was a member of the church’s Esther Circle and the Women’s Guild as well. Carmen enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafting, and working on her computer.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Irisol Perez of Pompano Beach, FL; Loudes Perez of Lecanto, FL and Evette Aviles, Las Vegas, NV; 2 brothers, William Vargas and Daniel Del Valle, both of New York; 3 sisters, Rosa Colon and Lucy Del Valle, both of Puerto Rico, and Naomi Del Valle of New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Perez in 2011 and a brother, Juan Del Valle.

Carmen’s life will be honored at a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 27, 2019, 2:00 PM at the Hernando United Methodist Church with Rev. David Spaulding officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the church in honor of Carmen’s memory. Cremation with care under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
