Ira J Cook

Ira Jean Cook, 83, of Floral City, FL passed away April 11, 2019 at Sunshine Gardens ALF in Crystal River, FL. She was born in Star City, AR on April 30, 1935 to the late Ira and Mabel (Jeffries) Burns. Ira Jean was a loving and dedicated homemaker. She arrived in this area in 1988, coming from Franklin Lakes, NJ and faithfully attended the New Hope United Methodist Church in Istachatta, FL. She loved crafting, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Ira Jean was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Frances Glover and Motier Dickey. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, O C Cook. Ira Jean is also survived by her children Glen Cook and his wife Gwen of Crystal River, Keith Cook and his wife Debra of Inverness, Joe Cook and his wife Sue of Amhurst, MA, and Kristy Roberts and her husband Ron of Lutz, FL; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ira Jean will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Roberts of New Hope United Methodist Church officiating. After the service, Ira Jean will be laid to rest at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City.
