Charles E. Ledoux, age 82, Inverness, Florida passed away April 11, 2019 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. Charles was born July 6, 1936 in Fall River, MA to the late Charles and Noella (Bouchard) Ledoux. Charles served in the Army National Guard, Fall River, MA, from March 4, 1954 to September 26, 1961. He served with distinction and received an Honorable Discharge. Charles moved to Florida from Texas in February, 2017. He was a retired owner/operator of his automotive body shop in Dighton, Massachusetts. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Post 155 in Crystal River, Florida.
Besides being a mechanic and auto body specialist, Charles also loved wood working, often making birdhouses for family and friends. He also loved listening to country music and wearing his western wear which included his cowboy hats.
Left to cherish his memory from oldest to youngest are 5 children: Jeffrey Ledoux, Benton, LA; Debra L’Heureux, Westport, MA; Edward Ledoux, Ocala, FL; Cheryl Dufresne, Westport, MA; and Charles Ledoux, Inverness, FL; his brother and sisters, Rita Vasconcellos, Westport, MA; Claire Perreira, Sunrise, FL; and Raymond Pratte, Fall River, MA. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, William and his brother, Peter.
There will be a Celebration of Life with Military Honors on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post No. 155 in Crystal River, Florida. Graveside services will follow at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA, where his urn will be laid to rest. Cremation care under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
