Mary R Galloway

Mary Ruth Galloway, 101, of Homosassa, FL passed away March 24, 2019 at Superior Residences in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Bloomington, IN on March 27, 1917 to the late George E. and Lula Myrtle (Parnell) Wampler. Ruth was a homemaker and arrived in this area in 1997, coming from Marion County, FL. She was a Baptist by faith, and attended the 1st Baptist Church of Chassahowitzka. Ruth enjoyed reading and doing puzzle books. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Ernest “Skip” Galloway in 2010, and one son, L. Derrell Weaver, Jr. Ruth is survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be conducted for Ruth on Wednesday, April 3, 11:00 A.M., at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, with the Pastor Tim Pauley officiating. The procession for the cemetery will depart the funeral precisely at 10:15 A.M. for the cemetery. Cremation care arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
