Loren Doyle Armstrong, age 71, of Inverness, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Loren was born to the late Loren Ray and Veda Marcine (West) Armstrong in Enid, OK on November 10, 1947. A Christian by faith, he earned two Doctorate degrees in Divinity and went on to share the Lord’s word as a pastor in Arkansas, Ohio, Kentucky and Florida. On June 30th, 1966 he married Donna (Badger) with whom he shared 52 years of loving marriage. Loren and Donna made Citrus County their home after relocating from Irvine, KY in 1996. He was an extremely talented singer and Elvis impersonator. Loren was the manager of the 24K Gold Music Show for 15 years and had toured and presented the show in venues all over the state of Florida. Hobbies he enjoyed were being part-time travel agent which gave him and his wife the opportunity to take 77 cruises together over the years. They visited many beautiful destinations but, Belize was their all time favorite destination as it completely “stole their hearts”.
In addition to his loving wife Donna, those left to mourn Loren’s passing include his son, Denny and his wife Marlene of Homosassa, FL; daughter, Tammy Ewry and her husband Tim of Inverness, FL; sister, Janelle Myers and her husband Delbert of Belize; grandchildren: David, Roxanna and her husband Daniel Defazio, Matthew, Lauren, Melissa; and one great granddaughter that is on the way. Loren was preceded in death by granddaughter, Courtney Ewry in 1992. Per his request and final wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation with care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
