Evelyn Kight Wilson, age 98, Inverness, Florida on February 22, 2019 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. Evelyn was born November 5, 1920 in Norfolk, VA to the late Surrey W. and Lilly (Williams) Kight and moved to Citrus County in 1980 with her late husband, John Everett Wilson, who passed away in 2005. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness.
Left to cherish her memory are 3 children: William Douglas Wilson and wife Debbie of Kingston, TN; Linda Hamilton of Hernando, FL; Ann Jarocki and husband Joseph of Ocala, FL; her brother, Robert Kight of Virginia Beach, VA; 6 wonderful grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; daughter in law, Mary B. Wilson, Vero Beach, FL; many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her son, John E. Wilson, Jr ; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Leonard Kight, Surrey William “Bill” Kight, Jr., and Anne Whiting. At her request, there are no services scheduled. At a later date, the family will gather and celebrate her life.
