Frances Ray Grabill

Frances Ray Grabill, age 84, of Inverness, FL passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family and while under the compassionate care of Vitas Healthcare on January 26, 2019. Frances was born on January 8, 1935 in Ashbybury, Hopkins County, KY to the late William Earl and Nora B. (Collins) Ray. She was married to James E. Grabill with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of loving marriage on May 15th. Frances and James made Inverness, FL their home in April of 2003 after relocating from Pasco County, FL. She was a faithful, devoted member and temple worker of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lecanto, FL and President of the Relief Society. She was also a wonderful cook. Frances was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Frances’ memory will be cherished by her loving husband, James E. Grabill of Inverness; sons: James Keith Grabill, Barry Branson and his wife Elizabeth, all of Inverness; daughters: Lisa Blanchard and her husband Charles of Inverness; Teresa Lomax and her husband Thomas of Spring Hill, FL; sister, Rebecca Stoltenborg of Fayetteville, N.C.; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parent’s, Frances was preceded in death by four brothers: Earl Dranen Ray, George Edward Ray, Lester Grant Ray and David Rodney Ray.

A Funeral Service of Remembrance is scheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Bishop Jerry Campbell officiating. Following the service, burial will take place at the Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM on the morning of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made in Frances’ memory to Vitas Healthcare, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
