Max F McGlashen

Max Floyd McGlashen, 88 of Inverness, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Ocala Regional Medical Center. Max was born on March 22, 1930, in Columbiaville, Michigan, to the late Floyd and Lina (Moore) McGlashen. He came to Citrus County in 1972 from Michigan. Max was a licensed building contractor and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Inverness. He served in the U.S. Air Force

Max was a strong man of faith. He contributed to four church building projects in each community he lived in: Michigan, Tennessee and Florida. In recent years he loved his “tablet” and found pleasure in the wonder of the internet.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Martha McGlashen; his daughters: Kathryn Jo Fallier and son-in-law, Robert Fallier, of Acworth, GA and Ruth Ann McGlashen and daughter-in-law, Stacey Campbell. of Inverness; his brother, Basil McGlashen of Hernando, FL and sister, Hazel Hutchinson of Lebanon, TN; and his three grandchildren: Andrew, Mark and James.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with the Rev. Dairold Rushing, officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to HPH Hospice, 2939 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy., Lecanto, FL 34461. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
