Robert “Bob” Outten, age 64, of Inverness, FL passed away December 29, 2018 at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL while surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Bangor, ME on March 10, 1954 to the late Norwood Clay and Margrette Marie (Dalzell) Outten. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. After his military service he earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling. He later went into private practice for himself and provided mental health care to patients suffering from substance abuse issues. Bob was married to Kathryn Corby (Kisling) with whom he shared 20 years of loving marriage. He and Kathryn made Citrus County, FL their home 2 years ago after relocating from Beeville, TX. Bob loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Touring Electra Glide Ultra Classic and going on road trips. He also enjoyed working with his tools and playing spades and casino games online. He liked shooting his guns at the gun range and on his property while living in Texas. Bob also enjoyed riding his scooter around the neighborhood.
In addition to his loving wife Kathryn, those left to mourn Bob’s passing include his daughters: Sarah Ann Outten-Driver of Inverness, FL; son-in-law, James Carl Driver – the son he always wished for – of Inverness, FL, Natalie Megan Vrazel of Inverness, FL; and granddaughter, Anastasia Rose Driver.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home and will be conducted by Bob’s brother-in-law, Minister Chris Kisling. Following the service, burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL where military honors will be rendered by Marine Corps Detachment #819. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
