Evelyn M. DeFalco, age 85, of Inverness, FL passed away at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL on December 25, 2018. Evelyn was born to the late Otto and Marie (Sottile) Nicholahsen in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 2, 1933. She was married to Dominick H. DeFalco for 60 years until his passing on March 8, 2012. She made Citrus County, FL her home in 1996 after relocating from Long Island, N.Y. Evelyn was Catholic by faith and a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL. She enjoyed rock collecting and gambling at the Hard Rock Casino.
Those left to mourn Evelyn’s passing include daughters: Karen DeFalco, Lisa Merkle (Fred), Donna Cafiero; and a great many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness with Father Tim Cummings, Celebrant. Evelyn will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
