Mary Jean Miller, 99, of Crystal River, FL passed away December 15, 2018 at Cedar Creek Assisted Living in Crystal River. She was born in Columbus, OH on May 1, 1919 to the late Joseph and Ruth (Mc Cann) Mc Manes.
Mary was an accomplished dancer and taught tap dance. She was also an executive secretary for Macy’s in Menlo Park, New Jersey. Mary enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and she was an avid reader. Mary was Roman Catholic and attended Our Lady of Grace in Beverly Hills, FL.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert Miller and his wife Joyce of Hernando, FL, James Miller of Citrus Hills, FL; and Janet Eidem and her husband Roy of Naples, FL. Mary has five grandchildren, Carl, John, Elizabeth, Collette and Kenneth; and great grand children Daniel, Michaela ,Tatum, Gia, Leilani, Kade, and Brody. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert E. Miller, and her 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC will be assisting the family with services and urn placement. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the wonderful care provided to Mary by Cedar Creek Assisted Living. The family also requests donations in Mary’s name be made to Vitas Healthcare IPU, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL. 34464 in lieu of flowers.
Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. is in charge of private cremation arrangements.
