Carmen M Filko

Carmen M. Filko, 90, of Dunnellon, FL passed away December 5, 2018 under the care of Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Bristol, CT on September 15, 1928, and as an infant was taken to France. Carmen returned to the states 26 years later, and had previously lived in Boulder, CO, Chicago, IL, New York, the Virgin Islands, and Pompano Beach, FL. With her late husband, they owned their own jewelry shop where they made and sold gold jewelry. She arrived in this area in the 1990’s, coming from Pompano Beach, and was a Catholic by faith. Carmen enjoyed taking walks, picking flowers and making flower arrangements, and spending time with friends and neighbors. She is survived by her very close friend and caregiver, Paul Asta. Other survivors include one niece Catherine Prouzet Robine, and one nephew, Christian Prouzet, both of France. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
