Helen Elaine Spangenberg, 90, of Inverness, FL passed away December 2, 2018 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Summit, NJ on August 11, 1928 to the late Eugene William and Helen (Doolittle) Hanssen. Helen was a homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1993, coming from Homestead, FL, was a Methodist by faith, and loved playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Raymond Spangenberg, one daughter, Suzanne Elaine Suits, and one sister Mary Black. Survivors include her children Raymond Spangenberg of Floral City, FL, Michael Spangenberg and his wife Debbie of Stanhope, NJ, and Helen Reisert of Inverness, FL; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Helen’s urn will be laid to rest with her husband’s at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL. on Monday, 10:00 A.M. VFW Post #7122 will be rendering military honors for Raymond at that time. Cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
