David William Mosholder, 70, of Brooksville, Florida passed away on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 under the care of Hospice. After a long battle with thyroid cancer, he slipped away. David was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. After high school he joined the United States Navy serving as a Corpsman in Vietnam.
At the onset of his illness, he was a Data Center Manager for T-Mobile, having started with them as Aerial Communications in 1996. He had also proudly worked for the Hillsborough County Clerk of Circuit Court EDP for over 10 years previously. Before relocating to Florida in 1985, he worked for over 10 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital COS in Denver, Colorado.
Always an avid camper, Dave enjoyed many of the last years of his life residing in a peaceful cabin near the Withlacoochee Forest, with his devoted wife and dog Chief never far from his side. More recently they had relocated closer in to a home in Brooksville.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Reva Kay; his loving sons: Phillip David Mosholder and Douglas Aaron Mosholder. Also left behind to cherish his memory are 3 grandchildren: Keeton, Charleigh, and Savannah Mosholder. Predeceased by his parents Earl William and Lorraine Presler Mosholder, his step mother Colleen YoungBear Mosholder, his sister Kathleen YoungBear and brothers Kevin and Mark Mosholder; surviving are his sister Vicki Lange of Spokane WA and 6 brothers, Kenneth Mosholder of Floral City, FL, Charles (Marion) of Hannaford, ND, Ronald (Tracey) of Newport News, VA, Robert (Cynthia) of Colorado Springs, CO and Donald YoungBear of Bismarck, ND as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends gathered on September 20, 2015 for a Living Celebration of Life. A private family service will be conducted with Inurnment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. Online condolences may be expressed.
