Norman Kent Crook

Norman “Kent” Crook, age 56, of Inverness, FL passed away unexpectedly at his residence on November 16, 2018. Kent was born in Alexandria, VA on September 19, 1962 to Patricia (O’Neal) Crook and the late Norman Edward Crook. He relocated to Citrus County 3 years ago from Claremont, FL.

A Baptist by faith, he was a member of the Daniels Missionary Baptist Church in Daniels, WV. Locally he attended worship services at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. Kent was employed as a Recreational Vehicle Technician for a number of years. He was an excellent cook and loved to cook and grill out for his family and friends. As a child he enjoyed fishing trips with his father. He was a fan of the Miami Dolphins, NASCAR and enjoyed listening to music. Kent had a great love for his sons and grandchildren.

Those left to mourn Kent’s passing are his sons: Chance Crook and his wife Jenny of Huntsville, AL, Roman Harvey of Wekiva Springs, FL; his mother, Patricia Crook of Inverness, FL; sister, Michelle Connor and her husband Nathan of Inverness, FL; and grandchildren: Maverick, Maddox, Chloe, Macklin and Coda. He also leaves behind Joan Abbott and Sherrie Marks, both of whom were a big part of his life. Kent was preceded in death by his father, Norman Edward Crook.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled for Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Kell of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Inverness officiating. Friends are invited to join Kent’s family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
