Akira “AJ” S Jackson

Akira “A.J.” Sakai Jackson, age 70, of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 10, 2018. A.J. was born on April 10, 1948 in Manazuru, Japan to the late Ernie Ray Jackson and Hiroko Sakai. He was a professional jeweler and owned and operated the A.J. Jewelry Shop in Inverness for a number of years. Those left to mourn A.J.’s passing include his daughters: Katsuko Ballew and her husband Jamie of Hudson, FL, Yukiko Schlotter and her husband Joey of New Port Richey, FL, Takako Price and her husband Robby of Grove City, OH; stepmother, Emma Jackson of Terre Haute, IN; brother, Tom Jackson; sisters: Linda Lewis and JoAnne Bermudez; grandchildren: Chad, Kylie, Ryan, Caden, Sydney and Corey. A.J. also leaves behind “Cheech”, his beloved Chihuahua and faithful companion. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by sister, Carol Swanson.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Ballard of Calvary Chapel Inverness officiating. Friends may join A.J.’s family in visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Following cremation, A.J.’s urn will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness. The Chas E.
