Diane Fintel, 68 of Floral City, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Diane was born on February 14, 1950 in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Victor and Martha (Batchelor) Sanders. She came to Citrus County in 1999 from St. Petersburg, Fl. Diane was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Istachatta, FL, and a former member of the First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, FL.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Fintel; her daughters: Tracy Diane Fintel of Independence, MO and Rebecca Anne Warg and her husband Scott of Spring Hill, FL; grandson, Alexander Scott Warg; mother-in-law, Vivian Fintel and many other extended family and friends.
“This little light of mine, I’m gonna’ let it shine” embodies the spirit of Diane. She was a beautiful example of God’s loving kindness. Her gentle, giving, selfless spirit enabled her to be a faithful servant of the Lord in all aspects of her life. She was a strong, feisty ball of dynamite in a small package. She was truly fearless to her last moments and took on the world with the brightest of smiles and the warmest sunshine in her heart. “Wife”, “Momma” and “Mimi” were badges of honor she wore proudly. She adored her family. She was shamelessly silly and her smart wit made everyone a friend. Her heart, home and shoulder were open to all. The heavens are brighter now for they have truly gained an angel.
