Kenneth Edward Baehr, 98, Beverly Hills, FL passed away September 11, 2018 at Diamond Ridge Health and Rehab in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Shelby, NY on November 25, 1919 to the late Edward and Christina (Wolters) Baehr. Kenneth was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He was a Baptist by faith, and a truck driver for the trucking industry. Kenneth arrived in this area in 2017, coming from Medina, NY. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, golfing, hunting and fishing, and loved spending time outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Gerald Baehr of New York, David Baehr and his wife Darlene of North Carolina, Kenneth E. Baehr of Washington State, Patricia Longwell and her husband Carl of New York, Judith Kelley of Illinois, Kenna Roggow Jenkins and her husband Cecil of Florida, and Cynthia Selden and her husband Dennis of Arkansas; sister, Audrey Bielski of New York; 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Evelyn, on November 21, 2013.
Graveside services with Military honors and Pastors Ted Lawrence and Bobbie Thompson officiating, will be conducted Friday, 2:00 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. The family will be receiving friends in visitation from 12:30 until time of the procession.
