Michael Lance Posey, age 55, Bushnell, FL passed away suddenly at home on September 6, 2018. Michael was born in Lansing, MI on October 26, 1962 to Lewis F. and Denelda McGowan Posey and came to Florida with his parents in 1973. He assisted his father in many ways but primarily served as the manager of his office rental businesses. He attended the Citrus Missionary Baptist Church in Inverness.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Lewis Posey, and Amber Lynn Posey, both of Inverness; his father, Lewis F. Posey, Hernando, FL; brother, Larry Dean Posey, St Petersburg; 3 step brothers: Michael, Steven, and David Rickly, all of Hernando; 2 grandchildren, Aubree and Ayden Borski and his former wife, Tammy Posey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Denelda Posey and his step mother, Leyla Posey.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Sheppard of the Citrus Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends in visitation Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
