Christos Xenophon

Christos Xenophon, 58, Inverness passed away suddenly August 27, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Chris was born in Queens, NY on December 25, 1959 to the late Nicos and Edna (McBride) Xenophontos and came to Inverness in 1980.

He was a professional chef and finished his career as a General Manager of Cracker Barrel. Many will remember him working at the Town House Restaurant in Inverness with his family. He was particularly known for his desserts and pastry creations. Chris had a love for flying and held a private pilots license as well as being a volunteer fire fighter when first moving to Inverness. He had a passion for knowledge which showed through his hobbies such as building computers, airplanes, cars, and even utilizing 3-D printing to make fidget spinners for his grandchildren. He was a founding member of the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Lecanto, FL. With all the interests throughout his life, family was always his greatest love and devotion.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Lori Boyle Xenophon; 2 sons, Paul M. Xenophon of Gainesville, FL and Mark P. Xenophon and his wife Caroll of Tallahassee; 1 brother, Nicos Xenophontos, Jr; 6 sisters: Debra Helm, Rosemary Maisel and her husband, John; Georgette Klein and her husband, Bob; Laura Clark, Donna Xenophon, and Patricia Valez and her husband Raymond; 3 grandchildren: Leia, Lila, and Cohen. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicos on Oct 24, 2010, his mother, Edna on March 12, 1986, and his step-mother, Maria on November 6, 2017.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.
