Walter F. Wilson, 91, of Inverness, FL passed away July 20, 2018 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing in Inverness. He was born in Cleveland, OH on June 12, 1927, served in the Merchant Marines, and was a Gas Station Manager. Walter arrived in this area in the early 1970’s, coming from Ohio, and was Catholic by faith. He held memberships in the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #2112, Lecanto, FL, Order of the Eagles, Aerie #8733, Inverness, and VFW Post # 7122, Floral City, FL. Walter enjoyed going on cruises, doing crosswords, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma “Jean” Wilson in 2009. Walter is survived by his children, Ronald and Donald Wilson, step-children Samuel Bass and his wife Sharon of Dunnellon, FL, Roy Bass and his wife Peggy of Floral City, FL, Bob Bass of New Mexico, Diane Skow and her husband Jay of Quincy, CA, and Sue Travis of Floral City, FL; brother Tom Wilson of Yardley, PA, and sister Mary Hall, of Cleveland, OH. He is survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jason Skow and his wife Cindy and daughter Jaxsen of Yalaha, FL. Wendy Gates and her husband Nathaniel and their children Caleb, Titus, and Lauren of Austin, TX. Lisa Konupka and her husband Erik of Tunica MS, Katie Worley and her Husband Woodrow and their children Mason, Braden, Myles, Westen and Maverick of Inverness, FL, Andrew Moore and his wife Ashley and their daughter Baylie. Jamie Feherenbach and husband Todd along with their children Tyler, Ashten, and Madison. Jimbo St Clair and his son Jackson of Inverness, FL. Courtney Wienckowski her husband Corey and children Meredith, Emma ,and Henry of Oak Harbor , WA, Robert C. Bass 3rd and his son Nicholas of Tampa, FL. The Family will be holding a private Celebration of Life for Walter. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
