Donald F. Moran, 86, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away July 16, 2018 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center. He was born in the Bronx, NY on July 11, 1932 to the late Edward and Marie Moran.
Donald was a salesman in the advertising industry, as well as a truck driver. He arrived in this area in 1995, coming from Maspeth, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a Catholic by faith.
Donald loved doing volunteer work. He volunteered with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department, CARE, and Crime Stoppers. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, and the Pine Ridge Owners Association. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Evelyn M. Moran in 2013, and 2 brothers, Edward and James Moran. Survivors include his children Darrin F. Moran and his wife Roseann of Sunnyside, NY, Brian Moran and his wife Karen of Garden City, NY, Dawn F. Moran of Maspeth, NY, Glenn Ascher and his wife Randy of Yorktown Heights, NY, and step-son Ronald Betowney of Claremont, NH; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4, 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, FL.
